Insight 128: FaithSoaring Churches Work on Their Congregational Image

Ask people within a mile or so of a church’s facilities if they have heard of the congregation, what they know about it, and what they feel about it. This is the beginning of understanding the image of congregations. Often a core understanding about a congregation determines if people in its context will see it as a place they can go for Christian worship, discipleship, and fellowship.

In many cases people will hardly know anything about the congregation. They may know they have a lot of programs they want people to attend. But, they may not know the people of the congregation.
