Insight 137: FaithSoaring Churches Make the Exceptional the Norm

For many congregations their standard of excellence takes them right to a mediocrity of service. Their aim is too low. Their evaluation of what is high quality is somewhat warped. Every once in a while, they do something that is exceptional, that creates a Wow! response, but that is the exception rather than the rule.

Congregations desiring to transform must make being exceptional the norm. Whatever they do they must do with the best possible quality in their setting with the resources and capacities available. Their vision, worship, discipleship, fellowship, mission, facilities, and governance must all be exceptional.
