Insight 271: FaithSoaring Churches Eliminate Entitlement [Part B]

Congregations seeking to transform are willing to eliminate anything that appears to be claiming an entitlement that is not part of the core mission of the congregation. A third type of entitlement is that felt by staff persons. With staff persons, if they are excellent in their ministry service, they may come to believe they are owed a lead role in everything that happens, and even feel they do not have to follow the same rules as everyone else.

If the staff persons are mediocre, then they feel threatened if their job is changed. They have learned how to survive.
