Insight 275: FaithSoaring Churches Eliminate the Ultimate Entitlement

Congregations seeking to transform are willing to eliminate anything that appears to be claiming an entitlement that is not part of the core mission of the congregation. The ultimate entitlement in congregations is that too many people feel that their Christian faith is a part of our life and not the essence of their existence.

They feel entitled not to worship God with their full heart, soul, mind, and strength. They feel entitled to not have to grow spiritually because they are already a “good Christian person.” They feel entitled not to do things that are uniquely Christ-like.
