Insight 330: FaithSoaring Churches Reinforce Core Values

Congregations seeking to transform not only have clear core values, they reinforce them regularly and appropriately defend them when questioned. To defend core values is not the same as being defensive about them. It is to reaffirm them and should be done with a positive spirit. It is not that core values never change, but that change should be the result of serious discernment.

The reinforcement of core values is important when new or existing individuals and groups want to change the core values to ones that fit their image, rather than the image the congregation has embraced under God’s leadership.
