Insight 355: FaithSoaring Churches Set Their Own Agendas

Congregations seeking to transform set their own agendas and resist empowering people outside their congregation to set the agenda for them. This is particularly the case with their denomination and the controversies that may be going on there. But, it can also include community issues to which they need to respond yet they need to do so based on their own terms and not the terms of the community.

When congregations allow others to hijack their focus, passion, and other efforts they get off target with where they need to be headed in response to God’s call on them.
