A Family of Baptist Congregations in the Midlands of South Carolina

Our One Priority: Starting and Strengthening Churches to Serve as Vital and Vibrant Missional Communities.

What Resources Are You Sharing with Our Family of Congregations?

The Columbia Metro Baptist Association is a family of congregations in the Midlands of South Carolina. We have congregations located in Richland, Fairfield, Kershaw, and Sumter counties

Our One Priority involves a call to offer to one another resources that make this priority a reality. Some resources can best be facilitated by the CMBA Visionary Leadership Community’s staff and consultants, some are best brokered from denominational and various other sources outside the association, and some can best be shared by member congregations for the benefit of sister and brother congregations.

A Call to Action

The greatest under-tapped collection of resources are those which our family of congregations can offer one another!

It is these resources which may have the greatest opportunity to increase geometrically the depth and breadth of resources available to congregations that will empower them to fulfill their God-given vision for the growth of His Kingdom from the base of the Midlands of South Carolina.

To that end, we would ask each and every member of our family of congregations to consider what resources you have which you can share in a spirit of servanthood and generosity with your sister and brother congregations. You have a tremendous opportunity and power to bless one another.

Some of the resources you have will enhance the vision fulfillment and strategies of other congregations as they journey to be vital and vibrant missional communities. Others will assist congregations with the supporting means and management for their missional efforts.

Just this past week one of our congregations suggested they had a set of speakers and other auxiliary equipment they no longer needed and would be glad to offer to another congregation in our associational family. We posted this offer on Facebook and within an hour they were claimed by another family member. This was unusually fast, but it does show when congregations offer resources of value to other congregations that it can have an immediate impact. During the month of July, we will be sharing ways that congregations in our family can bless other congregations. Often the blessings are mutual and enhance both congregations. We will also be sharing some of the best kept secrets about the resource CMBA’s Visionary Leadership Community’s staff and consultants have with which they desire to bless and enhance the missional ministry of our congregations.

Our One Priority Briefing and the Our One Priority Briefing Online Gathering are made possible by the financial gifts of the member and network congregations of the Columbia Metro Baptist Association at www.ColumbiaMetro.org, CMBA@ColumbiaMetro.org, or 803.619.7110. To donate go to https://columbiametro.org/donate/. Gifts can be made to the general fund, to hunger ministry, or to disaster response.
